Rogers ain’t no Jessica Biel
Randy Rogers, of Randy Rogers Band, has his videos played on CMT and belongs to a major country label. But while on a break from his tour, instead of hiring a personal chef to help him, he pops a brisket into the oven of his house in Texas and just chills.
Rogers took a mini-vacation from his tour to spend time with his family. Even though he misses his wife when he’s away, he says that it feels weird when he’s back in town and usually doesn’t really know what to do with himself.
“I’ve been touring for a long time,” he said. “It’s the eight year anniversary for this band, but I’ve been on the road for the past ten years. It’s a lifestyle that you get accustomed to. Being back home is weird and having to be idle is odd, too.”
The life of country stars is often not as talked about as is the life of a rock star. You know every rock star who has gone on a crazy drug binge, or who has snorted his dead father’s ashes, but no one ever hears anything about the country industry’s party scene.
“We all do our fair share of partying,” Rogers said. “In country music the drug culture isn’t prevalent, but we can drink with the best of them. The key to business is longevity — keep yourself in check.”
Rogers certainly has the longevity part going for him. He has enjoyed writing and recording music ever since he was a youngster.
“I’ve been really into music since I was five or six, so I don’t think that becoming a musician was a shock,” Rogers said. “I still got my degree and went to college, and that was a big deal.”
Although he has been a performer for a long time, he still gets a little nervous before each performance.
“I still get butterflies,” Rogers said. “If I ever lose that, then I need to move on and do other things.”
Growing up with a father who was a preacher, it’s a wonder that Rogers didn’t rebel like Jessica Biel’s character on “7th Heaven.”
“My dad was very strict, so I didn’t have an opportunity to rebel,” Rogers said. “I never got in trouble or anything, but when I turned 16 or 17 I started forcing my will on my parents.”
Coming from a religious background, Rogers strayed from heading into Christian rock music.
“I think that growing up in Texas makes it a little hard to be rock ‘n’ roll, but when I was 14 and 15 I was in a garage rock band,” Rogers said.
Perhaps it’s a good thing that he decided to take the country music route, because his songs, such as “One More Goodbye” and “Kiss Me In The Dark,” have gotten a lot of radio and television play.
He remembers that he was driving around when he heard himself on the radio for the first time.
“I pulled over and got out and started screaming,” he said.
Though it’s exciting for Rogers to have his music videos be seen around the world, it feels different to actually see himself rather than just hear his voice.
“Seeing myself on TV is just weird,” Rogers said.

Jessica Biel’s Dog Day Afternoon
Wrapping up against the wind in a long button up cardigan and a leopard print scarf, Jessica Biel was out on doggy duty in Brentwood on Saturday afternoon (March 15).
The peroxide blonde Powder Blue actress, who’s currently dating pop superstar hunk Justin Timberlake, gave her pup a little exercise before the two made their way back home.
As for her career in film, Jessica has been in the midst of a hectic schedule - which shows no signs of slowing down.
It has just been announced that in mid-April, Biel will be headed to sunny South Carolina to start shooting “Nailed” with Jarhead actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
According to studio reports, “Nailed” is a political satire in which Sammy Joyce (Biel) – an uninsured small-town receptionist – goes on a crusade to Washington to fight for the rights of the “bizarrely injured” and meets an immoral congressman (Gyllenhaal).
The screenplay was written by David O. Russell and Kristin Gore – the daughter of Former Vice President Gore.

Is there really a way that Kate Hudson and Justin Timberlake could be seeing each other and no one really know about it? What about Jessica Biel? That seems to be the suggestion from the New York Post as they have a story that is published on Sunday on the Page Six gossip column website that claims that these two are sneakier than Jennifer Aniston.

Aniston is famous for making it around town without being photographed despite being stalked by the paparazzi, has Kate learned as well? Page Six reports that just because Kate Hudson hasn’t been snapped by the paparazzi with a man by her side recently, it doesn’t mean she’s alone.
The paper cites a chatty source that says Hudson has been secretly seeing Justin Timberlake for the past year. “Kate is very private and refuses to be seen with him in public,” an insider said. Wait - for the past year? That is a long time without ever being spotted and snapped.
The source says, “She doesn’t want to be humiliated like Cameron Diaz was when he dumped her. But they talk every day on the phone and see each other often.” I’m not really convinced and neither are their peeps. Cue the rep™: The Post reports that reps for Hudson and Timberlake denied any romance.
Justin planning to propose to Biel!
Justin Timberlake has sparked speculations that he may soon be proposing to girlfriend Jessica Biel, after the SexyBack singer was recently seen shopping for engagement rings.
An onlooker said, “Justin was really taking his time looking round the rings. He made the staff get a couple out of the cabinets so he could properly look at them. He didn’t buy anything, but told the manager he would think about it.”
Timberlake has been dating Jessica for over a year now, but both have been reluctant to speak openly about their relationship.
Biel, Johnson to voice ‘Planet 51′
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jessica Biel have reportedly signed up to provide voices for new animated movie Planet 51.
Justin Long and Seann William Scott will also appear in the film, the first 3-D CG-animated feature from New Line Cinema.
Jorge Blanco , co-creator of the Commandos video games, is in line to direct alongside Javier Abad and Marcos Martinez, reports Variety.
Joe Stillman, a writer on the first two Shrek films, has signed to write the script.
The film sees astronaut Chuck Baker (Johnson) discover a planet whose green inhabitants live in fear of alien invasion. With the help of a young resident, he struggles to avoid capture to find his spaceship and return home.
Planet 51 is scheduled for release on July 24, 2009.

The SexyBack singer and his actress lover spend many nights indulging their passion for board games instead of going out. Biel says, “We do a lot of dinner parties and we play board games. I love Scrabble.”

It seems that reports that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have split were a little hasty.
It was claimed that the pair had gone their separate ways after Justin was reportedly spied making out with a “mystery brunette” at a New York night spot.
This wouldn’t be the first time that rumours have flown about Justin’s alleged cheating on his girlfriend of a year.
Earlier this month, a U.S. publication claimed that the Sexy Back singer had gotten a little too close to former squeeze Kate Hudson at a Hollywood club, while Jess was away in London filming her new movie.
However, the split rumours were put to bed over the weekend when Justin was photographed visiting Jess in London - and affectionately stroking her chin.
