Jessica Alba reveals unborn baby’s sex
Jessica Alba looks so bumpalicious she makes me want to go out and buy some maternity clothes right now. That gorgeous smock top, the tidy fitting royal blue cardigan…. all perfect attire for shopping for, er, carpets.
In fact, this outfit would’ve been a darn sight more appropriate for her baby shower, at which she bizarrely wore an evening dress.
Anyhoo, Jess spent the day trawling through shops with interior designer Kari Whitman who is due to design Alba’s baby girl’s nursery. Yep, Jess announced she was having a daughter to friends and family at the baby shower.
‘Twas a busy day and after looking at all those carpets Jess went for a checkup with her doctor. What a versatile outfit. Impressive stuff for one so encumbered.
Guess that means the rest of us don’t have any excuses for looking pants. Even when we are just nipping down to Carpet World or off to get some antibiotics.

With her oversized sunglasses, scrapped back hair and thrown together outfit, Jessica Alba could easily be mistaken for Britney Spears.
The pregnant actress, 26, ditched her usual designer wardrobe for a low-key combination of jeans, sundress and flip-flops - a familiar staple of Spears’ wardrobe - for a busy day in Los Angeles.
Alba, who is expecting her first child in June, opted for laid-back comfort as she shopped in West Hollywood, before visiting her doctor.
The Sin City star and interior designer Kari Whitman visited several furniture shops together in preparation for decorating her baby’s nursery.
After looking for inspiration for her home, Alba visited a medical centre for a pre-natal check-up.
On Sunday, Alba invited celebrity friends Jaime King, Rashida Jones and Kim Kardashian to her baby shower party at the Ever After Teahouse in LA.
During the lunchtime party, a blooming Alba told friends she is expecting a baby girl, People magazine reported.
Alba’s fiancé Cash Warren, arrived late at the party to help the actress carry her many gifts to the car.
Among the presents Alba received were prams, cradles and a giant white toy rabbit.
Alba and Warren started dating in autumn 2004 after meeting on the set of the Fantastic Four, where Warren was working as a director’s assistant.
The couple were reported to have briefly split last July, but reunited the following month.
They announced Alba’s pregnancy and their engagement in December.

The organisation contacted Alba and arranged for Adina and her mother Vina to fly to Los Angeles and spend a day with the star.
The pair spent time getting makeovers in a salon, and then hit Beverly Hills’ famous boutiques, even buying and exchanging friendship necklaces.
Adina tells Star magazine, “I wanted to meet Jessica because I really look up to her. I was so excited when I first saw her, I was jumping up and down.
“She was everything I thought’s she’d be and more. She was like the big sister I’ve always wanted.”
Alba stars in fiancé’s music video
Jessica Alba has filmed a spoof music video to help her fiancé Cash Warren promote his new social networking internet site.
The Fantastic Four star - who is seven months pregnant - is seen lip-synching to Panic At The Disco’s Back to the Streets in the video which has been posted on new site Ibeatyou.com, co-owned by Warren and his friend basketball player Baron Davis.
And the 26-year-old has even posted a message on her MySpace Internet page, urging fans to sign up to the new site.
The statement reads: “Hey guys! Hope everyone had a great Easter. It’s hot here in socal (South California). Being preggers in this heat takes everything to another level.
“We shot a quirky group lip dub music video for ibeatyou. Check it out!! We invited a bunch of users from the site and put this together last Saturday. Be well guys and check out our music videohope you get a good laugh.”
Jessica Alba’s film demons no match for pregnancy food cravings
LOS ANGELES - Jessica Alba battles demons in her new horror movie The Eye, but the six-month-pregnant Hollywood actress says she turns into “Satan” if she does not satisfy her own food cravings.
Alba does not have one simple craving.
The 26-year-old craves food.
Any type of food.
“Every couple of hours I turn into Satan if I don’t eat something,” Alba laughed during an interview in Los Angeles.
Wearing a red empire-waisted Gucci dress that exposes a slight baby bump, Alba believes “the gods answered my prayers” when she became pregnant to fiance Cash Warren last year.
The couple met while making the original Fantastic Four film four years ago.
“I was in shock at first,” Alba said when she first saw the positive pregnancy test.
“But we’re so happy.
“My family, everyone, are just thrilled.
“It all seems to be perfect timing.
“Everything fell into place the way it was meant to.”
A paparazzi favourite, particularly because of her expanding waistline, Alba is chased around Los Angeles every time she leaves her Hollywood Hills home.
Despite growing up in front of the public eye - she made her first movie when she was 14 - Alba is baffled by the attention she receives from photographers who trail her car to the supermarket or on other expeditions.
“When I started acting it wasn’t this bad,” Alba said.
“It’s bizarre and it seems like anybody can go buy a camera and call themselves a paparazzi and stalk people for a living.
“It’s really strange.
“I’m not doing anything interesting or salacious.
“I’m not trying to be out there.
“I’m just going to the gym or getting my groceries, normal stuff.”
The thought of leaving Los Angeles has not crossed her mind because her family and most of her friends live in the city.
Having just completed the psychological thriller The Eye, Alba will take time off after she has her baby, but is not sure how long the break will be.
“I want to continue acting after the baby,” she said.
“It’s important to still be your own person.
“I don’t know if it would be healthy to lose yourself completely (when you have a baby).
“I think kids appreciate it if you still hold onto your individuality.
“You’re living that example that you want your kids to emulate.”
In The Eye, Alba plays a blind violinist who gets the chance to see after a corneal transplant.
However, the transplant allows her to see terrifying visions.
“I loved the psychological aspect of this story,” Alba said.
“She’s not sure and you’re not sure if she’s actually losing her mind or if she’s actually seeing this.
“It’s everyone’s own interpretation of it.”
Alba studied organ transplants and visited patients during her preparation for the film.
“It fascinated me that you can get an organ transplant and take on someone else’s experiences,” she said.
“It really happens, not necessarily with corneal transplants but with other organs.
“That was a really interesting thing to explore and to play someone who was so independent and so sure of herself with this handicap, but when she becomes sighted that’s when the real handicap comes into play and I just love that reverse mentality of it.”

Jessica Alba Talks Motherhood
Out for a little healthy dining in a casual atmosphere, expectant mother Jessica Alba was spotted out over the weekend grabbing a bite to eat at the Coral Tree Cafe in Brentwood on Saturday (March 15).
The “Good Luck Chuck” actress has recently been talkative with press as she promotes her new movies “The Eye” and ”The Love Guru“.
When asked if she plans to raise her child to be multilingual (Jessica comes from a Mexican background, and Cash is fluent in French), Alba answered, “Yes. And my fiancé speaks French. I’m trying to learn Spanish. It’s just that every time I get into classes, I end up having work. So this is the perfect time. While I’m off, I can learn.”
And Jess confessed that she can’t wait to start being a mommy. “I’m excited. I’m going to love my child to the most that I possibly can. I have a different perspective on things now. Things that used to be so important, like my work, aren’t as much anymore. Now, it’s family.”
Commenting on her “hit the ground running” mentality when it comes to work, Jessica said she’s happy to be taking a break. “I feel very blessed to be in this business and be successful. I’ve been working consistently since I started. Now, I can take time off until I get that fire, that script and that role that will force me to work every day and give a hundred percent effort. In the meantime, I’m going to stop working. I’ll breathe for a change.”
According to an insider, Alba is due in June.

Jessica Alba to breastfeed her baby
Pregnant Jessica Alba revealed she will be breast feeding her baby and showed off her engagement ring on the Oscars red carpet.
The sexy star at first refused to reveal whether she will breastfeed, telling Ryan Seacrest: “That’s really personal.”
But then she gave and admitted: “Yes, it’s good for the baby.”
Jessica, who was accompanied by fiance? Cash Warren, refused to give her due date. She would only say: “I’m kind of keeping that secret.”
