Paris Hilton named as Woman of the Year by Harvard
Socialite Paris Hilton is off to Harvard University! It is hard to imagine Paris Hilton’’s name fitting into the same sentence as the prestigious Harvard University, unless it’s something to do with her crashing a party there, but Harvard have actually named Paris as their Woman of the Year.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the Simple Life star will be stopping by the Cambridge, Massachusetts institution on 6 February 2008 during a promotional tour for her new movie The Hottie and the Nottie.
To be fair and not to discredit the exclusive institution, it is the university’s satire magazine, the Harvard Lampoon that has presented the heiress with the award.
The magazine has often named celebrities as their honorary members, but they are usually comedians.
Ladies who have won the Women of the Year award in the past include Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry and Sarah Jessica Parker.
The actress-socialite will actually get to accept the award in person at the university on February 6th, provided she can keep herself out of jail between now and then. We just hope Paris doesn’t think that the award is any recognition of her intellectual ability.
No, she surely can’t be that stupid?
